It's been mentioned before that DLCs will come out first for XBox360 before the PC version so you can expect it to be on sale for PC in due time.

That's another map pack as well. Four new multiplayer maps + 1 new zombie map. Had Treyarch released mod tools we would have gotten 100 new MP maps for free from the mod community.

strange you have to pay for FS and now escalation....
is paying for DLC something new or late? cause this is the first CoD series charging us for map packs..

cause to me, FS and escalation looks nothing more than just a map pack...

what uncle said is correct...if only mod tools available, I'm sure many seasoned CODiers would want to reminisce the good old carentan and harbour and dawnville etc.....

Back in CoD4 Activision already wanted to charge us for the map pack for the remake of chinatown and broadcast but luckily Nvidia came to our aid and sponsored that for us.

Then in MW2 two map packs started being chargeable costing USD$15 each, packaging about 5 "new" maps each. Some of the "new" maps were actually just remakes of older CoD maps (like crash, overgrown remakes).

So chargeable map packs in the form of DLCs were already planned long time back for CoD. In the past we had extra maps for free on the PC and was only charged for real expansion packs. Activision has ruined everything good on the PC for us, ripping us of:

- free content in the form of new maps
- big player numbers (32 player matches), now it's been reduced to about 18 or less because games are being made for consoles first before being ported to PC.
- mod tools for making custom maps and user mods, self-explanatory why they are not offering these tools for the community.
- REAL dedicated servers where users can pick which game server provider they want to host their servers as well as being able to host servers from their own PCs.
