BlackShot Online

Hi guys and girl,

I guess a lot of us know about this free MMOFPS game called blackshot that is hosted by Garena. There's a lot of Singapore players on it anytime of the day and i think we can try playing as a clan on it. Anyone can create a "room" in the lobby for up to 16 players so we can always have one of us in there creating a room named "UOSG" and then the rest can join in.

The person who creates the room will be the room master and he gets an extra bonus (in terms of more BP points which can be used to buy weapons or gear upgrades) as he will be using his machine as the host. If the room master exits a game midway another player will be chosen by the system to continue hosting the game. Thus you may get "host change" messages midway through a game which delays the gameplay by a couple of seconds.

Blackshot has 5 gametypes, namely:
- Team DeathMatch
- Team Flag Match (which is actually CTF)
- Search & Destroy
- Search & Destroy Infinity
- Bunker Defense (you play with up to 3 other teammates to fend off endless waves of enemy AI soldiers).

Pros of Blackshot:
- It's free to play!
- It's easy to find local players to play against. There's always players in there!
- It's easy to create a room for friends to play with (you can lock the room with a password)
- A lot of configurations can be done while creating a room, such as setting it as "only SMG", "only sniper", "only rifle" etc.
- Ingame voting to report cheaters.

Cons of Blackshot:
- no aim-down sight
- switching host for room will trigger a "host change" message which interrupts gameplay from time to time
- graphics is average

I find that this is an ideal game for us to play as a clan and it's easy to just gather and have fun without having to worry about server crashes or hosting fee. Being able to play against loads of local players is a bonus! If you guys are in the game, look out for "Zerofrag"! Add me as friend!

It plays the same as CS or CSS as they are all classic first-person shooters. Looks wise they are comparable too.
