Server unplayable issue - call ticket raised 6/1/2011

Last night the server was unplayable when i joined it. I was getting "connection interrupted" messages every single second till my character ingame couldn't even move. I think this was the reason why the server was empty the whole night. I have raised a support ticket to Gameservers and this is their reply:

any idea if it was master server side or japan server itself issue?
or is there any setting/file we're using whilst others not using?

i was in server 05/Jan...crashed once..
playing time seems ok...

not sure if it's the cause of empty servers days before that...

No idea, as you can read from the reply they don't even know yet what is the cause of the problem.

Server settings for all ranked servers are the SAME. The only things we can change are:
- change gametype
- ban/kick player

There's no other server settings we are allowed to modify so our settings are default like every other ranked server for Black Ops.

yep i can't play our server yesterday!!
