COD Black Ops Epic Failure

This is an expensive bad joke, not a game!!!! Worst game I played in years...On a scale of 1 to 10, I easily give this game a score 3.

Game graphics : qualify for a year 2002 average game.
Single and multi-player lag? Are you joking me Activision? Enormous LAG !!!!! Simply unplayable! My Picture browser process faster then this game!!!
Guns sound like fire-crackers! Really!

Note: DirectX and graphic card drivers updated with no result. Compared with MOH and BBC2, this "game" is like a smashed mouse near a elephant and a giraffe.

I agree that BO is not a good game in it's current state primarily due to heavy lag in both single and multi-player gamemodes, but BC2 was hardly stellar when it was first launched. It's server browser had no ping indicator, there was no way to sort by anything in it, the favourites didn't work, servers couldn't be found and it took quite a few months of patching before they got their act together. Even ingame u had simple things like auto-teambalancing not working for a looong time. From the viewpoint of a server admin, i am not feeling the level of frustration i went thru' with BC2 than with BO. You wouldn't know how many hours of frustration i went through trying to get our server noticed in BC2's server browser. Players could not see our server listed in the server browser for a long time, due to it being so buggy. The only avenue of player traffic for a long time came only from it's "PLAY NOW" button.

When the server lag problem is fixed (which i know it will be) BO will be a really entertaining game, it's content-packed!

I am not talking about MOH, i dun own it.

Yea its not that bad Moca, other than the massive memory leak. This game is quite entertaining and the single player story is quite interesting. Multiplayer has lots of variety to play around and everyone can play differently in support of the teams.

Even the pings issue dont matter that badly compared to BC2 and previous CoD games. Once they fix this memory leak issue, i am sure we can all enjoy it.

So far only US and Japan servers with huge ping? Is there no other Asian servers? So far the lag is unbearable... worst then any game! EVER!

If you are playing from Asia, your best bet would be to play from Japan or Australia servers though Dennis has been able to play on a U.S. server at about 90 ping. For me, i have even been able to play decently at German servers at 400+ ping.

However the lag issue is real for the majority and patches for it is inevitable forthcoming, even as i type all BO servers have already been patched by Gameservers with a better sv_maxrate setting from 5000 to 25000 which opens up 5 times the bandwidth the server can dedicate to send to each client every second. Try playing on our server tonight to see if things have improved. This change is only part of the patch that is coming to fix the server lag issues.

It's just 2 days since BO launch so give it a fair amount of time before passing a final judgement.

I meant the ingame server browser, not an internet browser!

Search in the ingame server browser for our server name "-=[UO]=- Alliance Server", you can sort by server name or country (in this case look for our server name under the Japanese flag).

Where to find the server browser ah!
