why is CS source till this second still so pop?!
free? easy to kill?

i think partly is for the young fps coming up, CS source is a good game to start off...
imagine yearly, how many 12year olds going up to 13year olds..and these teenagers, I believe CS will hold on for them much longer cause where can they find 70 to buy BO now?

for the adults, we have spending power compared to the teenagers (i mean early teens) so adults move from game to game going for gameplay, graphics etc...

like for me, once a while, i still launch my MW1 leh...somehow, have a soft spot for MW1 and i still see Pvt Ryan if some of you can remember in MW1 m'sia server!

CS and CS:S are simple games with simple hardware requirements, which is why a lot of players can still play them. It's not like current games where they come up with a new release every year...think CoD7. With a release every year the game doesn't have time to command a loyal following and thus the community just keeps shifting. CS and CS:S doesn't need updates, doesn't need a new version and the players likes it that way. They are very comfortable and familiar with the maps, they build a whole community around it that has been around for years. Everything is free about the game...mods, countless custom maps, great community admin tools. Just one map de_dust is enough to attract players into a server 24/7.

i remember that i played it everyday at funland without miss. $2 per hr hehehe.. Haiz those were the days..

The major difference between consoles and PC gamers are hardware. Games are catered for consoles but PC games vary from game to game and hardware to hardware. Imagine you are a kid who knows nothing about computers or you as a parent, would you spend money on hardware now and then?

Plus CS is brainless enough. What teamwork do you need if you can hold one AWP and DE and take out the entire team? Lol.
