The Jan 2011 issue of PC Gamer has 5 pages detailing why Red Orchestra 2 will be better than Black Ops when it comes out in Q1 2011.

RO2 Heroes of Stalingrad will be exclusively for PC and based on a WWII setting:

Heroes of Stalingrad will take the award winning Red Orchestra franchise into the next generation of gaming. I am tired of modern warfare and the increasing neglect given to PC gamers by Activision, will be looking forward to getting back to WWII with this title which is ONLY available for the PC platform.

P.S. Max player number for dedicated servers will be 64! They have maps for 16, 32 and 64 players. Wow!

It's nice to hear that modders already have their hands busy developing mods for the gaming community so early on, unlike newer games of late which either stopped modding or keep delaying the release of mod tools till months after a game's release.

Yea RO first came out as a total conversion mod for UT2003 and launched it's first retail game titled Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 back in year 2006. You can still buy it from steam at USD9.99, look at the steam product page and note how much free content the developer and modding community has rolled out for this game:

We must not be brainwashed to think that we are suppose to pay for new maps and content! The PC gaming community should be getting DLCs free!

Anyway have to wait for more reviews and gameplay videos. So many games in such a short span really kills my wallet.
